Beef “Sushi Rolls”

Enjoy this take on sushi, featuring delicious Alberta Beef!

 

What You Need:

1/4 C Honey
1/2 C Soy Sauce
2 Cloves Garlic
1 lb Flank Steak, trimmed
Mango Sliced, thin
Butter Leaf Lettuce Sliced, thin
Avacado Sliced, thin
Cucumber Use peeler for thin slices of cucumber
Carrot Use peeler for thin slices of carrots
Skewers 1 pack
1 tbsp. Oil

Instructions:

  1. Cut steak diagonally into thin slices. Combine soy sauce, honey and garlic in a bowl. Marinate the steak for 10 minutes

  2. Remove steak from marinate. Heat a pan over medium- high heat. Coat the pan with 1 tbsp of oil. Place beef in pan and sear about 1-2 min per side. Set aside to cool

  3. Place the piece of beef flat on a plate, and layer on lettuce, mango, cucumber, carrot and roll the beef. To secure the “sushi roll” use the skewers.

  4. Place a piece of avocado on top as a garnish, and serve.
